Contests and Rewards Sponsored by District 57 Toastmasters (2016-2017)

“Beat The Clock”

Program Dates: May 1 – June 30

Toastmasters International’s “Beat the Clock” promotions, is intended to help our clubs reach their membership and retention goals before the TM year end June 30th.  Finish Strong!!!! by making it your club’s goal to earn the “Beat the Clock” award and encourage every member to take part. Clubs adding five new, dual or reinstated members with a join date between May 1 and June 30 receive a “Beat the Clock” ribbon to display on the club’s banner. Qualifying clubs also earn a special discount code for 10-percent off their next club order. 

The Fine print: 

The discount code expires six months from the date of issue and is not valid with any other offer.)

Applications and payments for members with a join date between May 1 and June 30 must be received at World Headquarters or online no later than June 30. The addition of transfer and charter members does not count toward “Beat the Clock” credit.

The winning clubs will be revealed online within a few weeks of the submission deadline. Winning clubs should allow up to 10 business days to receive their award if they are located in the United States, and up to 21 business days if they are outside of the United States.


“Plus One”

Between May 15th and June 30th, any club that raises it’s Distinguish Club status one level will receive $25.00 Toastmasters gift certificate.

Select Distinguished Club ==>  President Distinguished 

If a club moves up two levels by June 30th would get $30.00

If a club moves up three levels by June 30th would get $35.00

Finally, if your club is already a President’s Distinguished Club, if you earn a “Bet the Clock Award” during this period, you will also get $25.00.

Note: Distinguished, Select, or President’s status must be achieved by or before June 30, 2017, and certified by the Toastmasters International dashboard results.

Now’s Your Time To Grow Incentive:

Open House Incentive:

Any club hosting an Open House will receive up to $50.00 reimbursement for event expenses.

Documentation requirements:
(Limit one reimbursement between March 1 – June 30, 2017. Reimbursement requests must be in by July 7, 2017.)

Addition to the incentive, EFFECTIVE MARCH 1, 2017

  • $5.00 voucher to the Toastmaster store will be awarded to clubs for each member added within one month of the Open House.
  • $30.00 voucher to the Toastmaster store will be awarded to clubs that add five members within one month of the Open House. (Limit reimbursement between March 1 – June 30, 2017)

Individual Member Rewards:

  • Pay it Forward: July 1, 2016—June 30, 2017
    Club Sponsor-Mentor Reward; Members who successfully sponsor or mentor a new clubs will receive a Toastmasters journal along with a plaque. Drawings will be held at the October, January, April, and on June 30th for a Toastmasters jacket.
  • Lift Up and Prosper: July 1, 2016—June 30 2017
    Club Coach Reward; Members who successfully coach a club will receive a Toastmasters brief case along with a plaque. They will also be entered into a drawing to be held on June 30th. For successful coaches will be awarded a Toastmasters jacket.
  • Milestone Celebration: July 1, 2016—June 30 2017
    First Time CC+CL recipients; Members who earn their first CC & CL will receive a Toastmasters name badge.
  • Crowning Achievement Celebration; July 1, 2016—June 30 2017
    First Time DTM recipients; Members who earn their first Distinguished Toastmaster Award will receive a DTM medallion, DTM pin, and name badge.
  • Outstanding Achievement Toastmaster Award: July 1, 2016—June 30, 2017
    Members who achieve OATM will receive a plaque and official OATM pin.
  • Triple Crown Award: July 1, 2016—June 30, 2017
    Members who earn three educational awards will receive a plaque and official Toastmaster pin.

Club Rewards:

  • Springtime Retention; March 1—March 22:
    Clubs that renew 90% of their members by March 22nd will earn a $25.00 Gift Card from the TI Store. The 90% goal will be based on March 1 membership base.  Gift cards will be awarded at Spring Conference.
  • Springtime Club Growth; March 1—April 22:
    Clubs that have a net growth of two members between March 1 and April 22nd will earn a $25.00 Gift Card from the TI Store.  Goal will be based on March 1 membership base.  Gift cards will be awarded at Spring Conference.
  • Open House Incentive
    Any club hosting an Open House will receive up to $50.00 reimbursement for event expenses (Once per club in a Toastmaster year). Documentation requirements: 

    • Completed Reimbursement Voucher
    • Copy of agenda
    • Original receipts
    • Copy of flyer or other advertisement for open house
    • Copy of guest sign-in page for event
  • District 57 New Club Welcome:New Clubs will receive an Official Toastmasters club banner;   Clubs chartered before October 1 will receive club banners at Fall Conference.  Clubs chartered between October 1 and March 31 will receive club banner at Spring Conference.  Clubs chartered between April 1 and June 30 will receive club banners at Fall 2017 Conference.Toastmasters International Rewards

    • Beat the Clock—May 1—June 30

    Can your club add five new, dual, or reinstated members with a join date between the dates listed above?  Accomplish this goal and you’ll qualify to receive ribbon, in which you can display on your club’s banner.
