Frequently Asked Questions
When and where is the Toastmasters Leadership Institute (TLI) North Officer Training?
This training event is located at the Santa Rosa Junior College at 1501 Mendocino Ave, Santa Rosa 95401. (Please allow extra time to find parking.) Plan to arrive at the entrance to the Newman Auditorium in the center of Emeritus Hall between 8:30 AM – 8:50 AM to sign-in, mingle, grab/share some food and choose a good seat. The training will begin promptly at 9:00 AM.
Will there be food?
A light continental breakfast (coffee/tea, pastries, fruit) will be provided.
What if I hold more than one office?
Register for training for each office held, even if they are in the same club.
Make sure to sign the attendance sheet at the training for each officer position you hold to get training for all positions held.
What if I’ve held this office before or attended officer training before?
Each club officer is required to attend training every 6 months whether your club elects officers yearly or twice a year. Club Officer Training at TLI North will be interactive, fun and a great opportunity to exchange knowledge and ideas with others. We’ll be holding advanced leadership sessions, invaluable for those who have already held a club officer role.
How do I get credit for attending the officer training?
After registering on this website, you attend the training event and the breakout session training for your specific officer position. You must stay for the full session and make sure to sign the attendance sheet at the training. We use the class attendance sheet to inform Toastmasters International that you attended and therefore will get credit for yourself and your club.
Where do I park?
We will be providing complimentary parking permits for all attendees at the entrance to the parking area and at registration. Please note that parking regulations are strictly enforced 24 hours a day, 7 days a week! Permits are required at all times including handicapped areas. Please be sure to obtain a parking permit before the session starts and place on your dashboard.
The best location to park is on the north and west sides of Emeritus Hall. Newman Auditorium is located in the middle of Emeritus Hall (two-story building). The only entrance to this parking lot is on Elliott Avenue, across from the Bertolini Student Center.
How much does the training event cost?
The training is completely free. The organizers and trainers are volunteers committed to quality and convenient officer training in the North Bay.
