Before COVID and online meetings, the club banner went everywhere with us. It was at every meeting, every event, every contest and of course, every conference. However, we put it away in a very safe place like a storage locker or with one of our wonderful Toastmasters’ members and we forgot about it. We got out of the habit of bringing it out and displaying it every meeting.
Well, we are back in-person (or at least, hybrid with some of us still on Zoom and many of you in person). Quick question: have you taken the banner out and updated it with the recognition the club has received since COVID? Have you been displaying it at meetings or is it just a long-ago memory of what we used to do?
Regardless of what has been done so far, let’s bring our banners out of storage, dust them off, and proudly walk the stage at the conference with your banner fully updated with all the honors it deserves. Last year, we had one brave club bring their banner and display it on stage. This year, let’s fill the stage with all of your banners! What a wonderful (and proud) sight that would be — don’t you think?
