Kudos to the Clubs Leading the Way in 2024-2025!

Now that April 1 has come and gone, the dues are in, and with it comes the first of the early birds and dedicated DCP do righters.  You have performed above and beyond expectations, and now it’s finally time to give credit where it’s due.

So kudos to the clubs that are already across the finish line:

President’s Distinguished Clubs:

(9 goals, 20+ members or +3 year over year)

If a club listed below is in bold text, that club would have earned itself a Smedley Distinguished Award, which goes into effect next year (10 goals, 25 members minimum).   Also note that next year’s President’s Award requires 20 members, minimum.

  • Citizens for Better Communicators
  • Star Search
  • Speakers Forum
  • City Speech
  • Fountaingrove Club
  • Santa Rosa Club
  • Bioradical Toastmasters Club
  • Walnut Creek Toastmasters
  • Pleasanton Community Club
  • Hacienda Park Toastmasters

Select Distinguished Clubs:

These clubs are on their way to being President’s Distinguished (7 goals, 20+ members or +3 year over year).   Note that next year Select will be 20 members minimum or +5 members.

  • Genomasters
  • Ukiah Toastmasters
  • Rockridge Toastmasters Club
  • Watergate Toastmasters
  • Power Speakers

Distinguished:

Congratulations on making it across the first hurdle – and there’s still time and room to grow!  (Next year’s Distinguished club requirements are unchanged; 20+ members or +3 members year over year, and 5 DCP points).

  • Newark Toastmasters
  • CSAA Talkers
  • Word Weavers
  • ExelOrators
  • North Bay Speech Masters
  • Tenacious Talkers Club
  • Toast of Petaluma
  • Cre-Art Toastmasters

Finally, I’d like to recognize Division A-35 as our first Distinguished Area of the year.   As the former Division A Director, you make me especially proud.

Remember, next year we all need to get our Club Success Plans filed by September 30th to qualify for any level of Distinguished.

There’s still two months left to get there or get higher!   Get those speeches spoken, and don’t forget to file for credit for your levels when you’re done!
