Are you at a point in your public speaking career where you want to challenge yourself? Do you have a member in your club who may also be interested in a challenge?
You could run a Speechcraft or a Youth Leadership Program. Or how about mentoring a new member in your club.
If you’ve given a speech in which you demonstrated expertise in your personal or professional life, why not use your next speech project to apply to a bigger goal.
Consider a plan of action based on the OATM award.
The OATM (Outstanding Achievement Toastmaster Award) is a District 57 award that builds on your achievements in several different areas, at the club level, as well as by participating in a variety of District level events as a Trainer, Judge, or official in different capacities.
If you are interested in volunteering at the District level, why not have a plan, that builds a program for the year, that results in an OATM. Please examine the current OATM form, with requirements in each category.
If you have any questions, you may speak with a club member who has earned an OATM in the past, or please ask me further questions.
Together we can make a difference!
