Who Is an Area Director?
An Area Director is a Toastmaster who chooses to serve beyond their home club. They are a volunteer district leader who supports 4 to 6 clubs within a specific geographic area.
They are usually experienced members who:
- Have served as club officers
- Understand how a club functions
- Want to help other clubs succeed
- Are ready to grow as leaders
An Area Director is not a judge or inspector. They are a coach, connector, and supporter.
What Does an Area Director Do?
- An Area Director:
- Visits each club at least twice a year Provides constructive and encouraging feedback
- Supports club officers and leadership teams
- Shares district updates, training opportunities, and events
- Helps struggling clubs find practical solutions
- Recognizes and celebrates club achievements
They serve as the bridge between the clubs and the District.
