High Performance Leadership Project

The High Performance Leadership (HPL) project is designed to give the leader a chance to put into practice the skills needed for leadership. It shows the leader where s/he lies in the spectrum of leadership skills, gives a leader to put these skills into practice and get feedback on how to improve these skills throughout the year.

Below is the process for Area and Division Directors to complete an HPL project during their term:

  1. Commit to the District Director your intention to commit to do an HPL Project by the end of October.
  2. Recruit at least 1 DTM to your guidance committee.
  3. Create a success plan to become Presidents Distinguished.
  4. Hold a minimum of 3 Area/Division council meetings throughout the term, conducting your first meeting by the end of November.
  5. Recruit your successor by the end of January.
  6. Coordinate submission of your HPL in June with the District Director.

District Bucks

The District Bucks program in Toastmasters District 57 is an incentive initiative designed to reward clubs and members for their achievements and contributions. Participants can earn District Bucks through various activities, such as membership building, educational accomplishments, and club administration. These earned Bucks can be redeemed for items like club supplies, event registrations, and other resources that support club growth and member development.

The program operates within specific guidelines to ensure fairness and transparency. For instance, there are defined earning periods, redemption procedures, and expiration dates for the Bucks. Additionally, certain activities may have caps on the number of Bucks that can be earned. The program also emphasizes the importance of timely submissions and adherence to the outlined processes to facilitate smooth operations.

By participating in the District Bucks program, clubs and members are encouraged to engage more actively in Toastmasters activities, thereby enhancing their skills and contributing to the overall success of the district. The program serves as a motivational tool, fostering a culture of achievement and continuous improvement within the Toastmasters community.

When the club buys an item, they submit the expense receipt to the District Finance Manager. The item cost must be equal or less than the money accumulated in the club’s District Bucks account. A Google spreadsheet is available online for all clubs.
