May 1st will be an excellent and historic day full of value for Toastmasters members and guests. This is our biggest event of the year and you don’t want to miss it! You will be inspired, empowered, and motivated at this conference. Here are 4 reasons you should invest in your conference experience:

Topics include storytelling, delivering emotional speeches, how to be funny anywhere, planning hybrid meetings, how to make Zoom meetings more exciting, TED Talks, learn how to get to the World Championship of Public Speaking and much more!

Business Meeting Details

Register for the 2021 Online Spring Business Meeting Here 

Our business meeting will be held 8 to 10am May 1st 2021.

After registering, you will receive an email confirmation containing information about joining the meeting.

Credentials to log into the online Zoom meeting will be provided after your registration has been confirmed.

Who should attend?

Club presidents, vice presidents of education, plus district executive committee members.

Are proxies allowed?

No proxies are allowed for this virtual business meeting.  All Club Presidents, VPEs and DEC members are required to attend.  District executive committee members are entitled to one vote and may cast up to two additional votes.

What is a Quorum? 

A quorum is required for our 2020-2021 District Budget, District Success Plan, and more.  To reach a Quorum , 1/3 of the eligible club votes (without consideration of DEC votes) must be represented.  District 57 has 146 clubs therefore 286 eligible votes.  To meet the requirement for a Quorum  96 eligible club votes must be represented without proxies. If a Quorum is not met there will be an additional online voting period post-meeting. The final number of votes will be updated on April 10th.  Please register before 4/30/2021 at 7pm as that is the time we will determine if we have quorum.

Use this form to submit new business to District Director Bett Bollhoefer by 2 weeks before the Business Meeting. The date for all new business is 4/15 8pm PT.
